In memory of our Dad and his upcoming birthday we’re planning the 1st annual Ken Harris Memorial House Concert! He would have been 87 on February 26th. This will be a fund raiser for DCWC. (Development of Children and Women Center, Nepal)
Here’s the flyer that my sister Jeanette made.
This will take place on Saturday Februray 25, 2012, from 5 to 9 pm in the beautiful home of my sister and brother in law, Jeanette and Steve Gross, in the Oakland hills. (Details when you RSVP.)
It will be a potluck. Please bring a salad or main dish to share and what ever you’d like to drink. We’ll provide desserts and coffee or tea.
There is a suggested donation of $15 to $20 with all proceeds going towards DCWC for a new ambulance. This is a project Jeanette and Steve are very involved in. Steve has been in Nepal 4 times in the past 5 years and on treks there twice. He’s become good friends with the founders of DCWC, who have been building hospitals and schools. We know our Dad, Ken would have loved to support this project!
