Happy Spring!
We had a great time playing a double 50th birthday party yesterday and look forward to playing out and about for the next 3 weekends. We hope we might get to see you at some of these events.
Saturday, April 20th
11:30am to 12:30pm and again from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Earth Day in Calistoga
Pioneer Park on Washington Street.
We’re looking forward to playing with our good friends Terry Ann Gillette on violin, Dan Brunetti, guitar and bass and David Chapman on drums.
Saturday, April 27th, 11:00am to 2:00pm
Elizabeth Spencer Winery
We’ve been asked to play as a trio with Terry Ann for their Rosé release party. This is also our 33rd wedding anniversary! Yikes! How did that happen?! Sure is nice that we’re still in love and harmonious!
Saturday, May 4th, 9:00am to noon
Opening day of Calistoga Farmer’s Market
With Dan Brunetti and David Chapman.
We were scheduled to be there again on June 8th, which is what I sent out in our music newsletter, but that has been changed to:
June 1st for our 2nd Calistoga Farmer’s Market this year. (We’ll also be there 7/13, 8/3, 9/21 and 11/2/13.)
Saturday, June 23rd, 10am to 1pm
We’ll play as a duo at the Windsor Farmer’s Market.
Welcome and thanks to the new folks who signed our mailing list recently. Thanks to those who supported our 2nd annual benefit house concert back in February, in memory of my Dad for his 87th birthday and for helping us raise over $2000 again for DCWC’s fundraising efforts for a hospital in Nepal. Our new friend Mele, brought my Mom, Shirley, to the concert and took videos of some of our songs which my sister Jeanette has posted on youtube. We especially treasure one of my Mom singing along with us.
Another one is a song we wrote for our son Leif right before he was born 30 years ago.
There is also one of us covering our favorite Steve Earle song. These were all taken with a camera phone and not great quality videos, but we like them enough to share them and hope you might enjoy them too!
We’ve been enjoying playing as much as we can on weekends and occasional weeknights at care facilities, but we still haven’t quit our day jobs yet! Michael continues doing carpentry and I’m doing quite a bit of eldercare, house and yard work as well as office work from home for our friend Trudi Angell’s great company Paddling South.
Just want to spread the word that we’re always happy to play for parties, weddings or any event where our music would be appreciated!
We hope you’re all well and enjoying Spring.
Hope to see you soon!
Love, Lindalou and Michael
